Here are the pattern pieces for the "back to school" dress for 6 to 8 inch dolls. It should fit Vogue Ginny Dolls, American Girl Mini dolls and any other dolls of similar body type.

This pattern is my original design and may not be used commercially.

To make this dress you'll want to choose fabric that has a very small pattern, since the dress is so small. Small calico prints are ideal.

Materials
1/4 yard of fabric is probably enough to make four of these dresses.
Matching thread
Approximately 30 inches of lace trim
Approximately 8 inches of contrasting ribbon
2 small hook and loop (such as velcro) closures, or snaps.

For the skirt, cut a rectangle, from your fabric, that is 2.5 inches by 16.5 inches. The straight of the fabric grain should be parallel to the short edges.

All pattern pieces include 1/8 inch seam allowances, except the skirt, which includes a 1/4 inch seam allowance.

Pattern pieces are shown on an 1/2 inch grid so if you print the pattern photo, adjust the size on your printer until the squares are 1/2 inch high and wide.

To copy the pattern by hand you can create a 1/2 inch grid by measuring every half inch and making a pencil dot all the way down and across, on all four sides of a piece of 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper. Then use your ruler or straight edge to connect the dots with your pencil. Then draw the pattern lines into each square of your grid, exactly as they are shown in my design.
