Candy Bar Bundt Cake Recipe

Candy Bar Bundt Cake Recipe
I’m always excited when the little Halloween candy bars come out in bulk packages; it gives me a chance to think of good ways to use them up, and still have plenty for the trick-or-treaters. Since kids don’t go out as much and have gatherings in the neighborhood or church, I always have plenty of leftover to use for various desserts. I’m making this luscious Candy Bar Bundt Cake to serve at my annual Halloween BOO-ffet. It has the texture of a pound cake, but starts with a cake mix.

You can use any fun size candy bars you like. I love using Paydays, Snickers, Twix, Almond Joy, 100 Grand, and Reese’s, but you can use your favorite candy bars – an assortment or just one kind - (or use the ones your family won’t eat so they don’t go to waste). Nobody in my family likes the plain chocolate bars, so I mix them with whipping cream for a glaze; it works out well. The different textures of the various candy bars make the cake unique and special. If there happens to be leftovers, this cake will last up to a week if kept airtight. It also freezes well.

16 Servings

1 15.25 ounce white cake mix
1/2 cup softened butter
4 eggs
1 cup milk

2 to 3 cups candy bars, coarsely chopped or diced (about 30 fun-size)

10 fun size chocolate bars, (plain chocolate)
1/2 cup whipping cream

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a standard Bundt pan with non-stick spray containing flour.
  2. Mix the cake mix, butter, eggs, and milk until smooth. Stir in the candy bar pieces.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan.
  4. Bake 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Transfer to a cooling rack, let sit 10 minutes, then invert onto the rack. Let cool thoroughly.
  5. Place the glaze ingredients into a glass measuring cup; microwave 2 minutes. Let sit for 3 minutes, then mix until smooth. Drizzle over the cake.
