Halloween Cookie Pizza Recipe

Halloween Cookie Pizza Recipe
When my children were small, I used to make a cookie pizza that they loved. The recipe came from a favorite cookbook of theirs, Better Homes and Gardens Cookies for Kids, which has long been out of print. The original had peanut butter chips and chocolate chips for toppings, and then it was covered with marshmallows for the “cheese.” I have adapted that pizza and topped mine with cut up fun-size candy bars, chocolate chips, M&Ms, and candy corn. Instead of marshmallows, I drizzle this Halloween Cookie Pizza with caramel ice cream topping. The buttery cookie crust is firm enough for cutting into wedges, but soft and chewy at the same time.

You can top your cookie pizza with toppings of your choice, and any favorite candy bars you happen to have around. I add M&Ms because they add color and none of my family or trick-or-treaters ever chooses them.

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

  4. Bake about 15 minutes or till golden.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle the candy bar pieces, M&Ms, candy corn, and semisweet chocolate chips evenly over the crust.
  6. Return the pizza to the oven and bake 6 minutes more. Remove from the oven and drizzle with the caramel topping.
  7. Cool in pan on a cooling rack.
  8. To serve, cut pizza in small wedges with a pizza cutter or sharp knife.
