	Aneta Adamcová-Cruz Aneta Adamcová-Cruz grew up in the Czech Republic where she received a degree in Gastronomy. Soon after she realized that literature has been her favorite delicacy all along. She is now a senior at CSUSB majoring in English Literature. Aneta edited the last issue of the university´s literary magazine Badlands. She is finishing up her novel.

	M. Kari Barr As a mom of 8 Kari´s time has been limited, her youngest is now 6 so she has taken up writing. In 2009 she wrote 3 novels and several poems. She has found the journey to be pleasant and quite educational. Preferring fantasy, she lets her mind go. Her poetry ranges from whimsical to romantic and even a few satirical pieces. She truly loves the ones she has written for children. Much of her writing can be found at storywrite.com under the pen name MeKaBa. Kari lives in a log home in Washington.

	Glenda Barrett Glenda Barrett, a native of Hiawassee, Georgia is an artist, poet and writer. Her work has been published in Woman´s World, Farm & Ranch Living, Rural Heritage, Nostalgia, Journal of Kentucky Studies, Smoky Mountain Living, Georgia Magazine and many others. 	Mark Berkery Mark was born to itinerant Irish parents which set the scene for a restless life. Like the Gypsy he couldn´t accept the moribund values of a soulless society, what passed for important or posed as spiritual. The resulting roller-coaster of experience and inner conflict eventually gave way to a love of the simple sense of nature that he now lives - the best he can - as a form of meditation. 	Gabi Coatsworth Gabi Coatsworth is a British-born published writer whose work, both serious and humorous, appears regularly in literary journals and online. 	Joanne Cucinello Joanne Cucinello is a poet and writer, who to date has published three books of poetry and an illustrated Children´s Fairytale. Her works include lyric essays and free form poetry, often visionary and insightful. Joanne is a member of the Academy of American Poets and the Society of Children´s Book Writers and Illustrators. 	Stacey Dye Stacey has a love for words. She is moved by music, inspirational quotes and poetry! Having written everything from poetry to ad copy, it wasn’t until 3 years ago that she began to pursue the art of poetry. Her primary focus is the human condition. Stacey lives with her husband Dennis and critters Izzy and Elly. 	Lee Evans Lee Evans was born in Maryland, spent most of his life in that state, and is currently living in Bath, Maine. His poems have appeared in such journals as Contemporary Rhyme, The Golden Lantern, The Road Not Taken and The Deronda Review. He has produced two poetry collections, Maryland Weather and Nor’easter, which are available on Lulu.com.

	Debi Gardiner Even as a young child, Debi gravitated towards artistic pursuits. Photographing with her Kodak brownie camera at about 5 years of age and oil painting from age 10, her interests eventually lead her to college where she received a BFA in design, and a career in graphic design. 	Rain Good Rain first took pen to paper when she was five. Poetry has been her passion for many years. She´s recently started a series of novellas and looks forward to them being published in 2011. Rain is a spiritual minister, and she also creates Native American medicine bags and smudging fans.

	Jan Hurst-Nicholson Jan Hurst-Nicholson has published several children’s books, as well as numerous articles, humorous articles and short stories, which she compiled into a book: “Something to Read on the Plane.” Her humorous novel “But Can You Drink The Water?” was a semi-finalist in the 2010 ABNA contest. Her YA novel “Mystery at Ocean Drive” was a finalist in the Citizen/Pan Macmillan book prize. 	Denise Kenny Denise S. Kenny of Ontario, Canada is a writer, poet, and former newspaper publisher. Fascinated by words since childhood and encouraged in 1979 by renowned playwright John Herbert, Denise has spent the last three decades honing her craft. Her work has most recently appeared in the anthologies Art’s Buoyant Felicity (Evolutionary Girls Publishing, 2010), Four and Twenty Poetry Journal, The L of Life, and The Ambassador Poetry Project.

	Stephanie Arwen Lynch Arwen also writes paranormal romance as Marilu Mann. She is the current president of the American Tarot Association. 	Katharine Mackel Katharine Mackel is currently a senior at Georgetown University, studying political science and sociology. She has enjoyed writing ever since she created her first piece of fiction in third grade. Until recently, however, she has not been brave enough to try publishing her pieces. She is very grateful to MUSED for letting her contribute to this issue.

	Louise Mathewson Louise Mathewson’s work has appeared in numerous publications including Mentor’s Bouquet and the best-selling book Cup of Comfort Vol. I. Louise has always loved to write about the sacred moments in everyday experiences, but today those experiences hold even deeper meaning. In 2003 Louise emerged from a coma following an auto accident in which she suffered a traumatic brain injury. Though a struggle at first, Louise resumed writing as soon as she was able. 	Gemma Meek Gemma Meek has been writing since she was a child. She still succumbs to ´the burning hand´ but these days it´s often more like running through treacle. An ex-procrastinator, she only started publishing work at the beginning of 2010. In her other lives she rides horses and plays bass guitar in punk bands. After a peripatetic and ´interesting´ former life, she now resides and works in London, England, while perpetually dreaming of faraway lands.

	Nena Nena is currently a full-time mother of four children ages 2,4,10, and 15. Nena’s deep passions have always been writing and drawing. Although she originally pursued a career in Social Services because she also enjoys helping people, she has recently enrolled in her local community college to pursue an AA in English. Her long term goal is to obtain a BA in English/Writing, and be able to utilize her knowledge and skills to make a living from home.

	Leslie Neustadt Leslie Neustadt is a retired Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York. Published in The Akros Review, Peer Glass, Cure Magazine and elsewhere, she has also read her essays on public radio. Leslie writes and creates for healing, exploration and just plain fun from her home in Niskayuna.

	Susan Payne Susan resides in Virginia. She was a story teller long before she learned to write. She writes fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and poetry. She has been published in several anthologies and literary reviews. She blogs at www.suzicate.wordpress.com.

	Lorena Piña –Aviña Lorena Piña-Aviña was born and raised in La Quinta, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Chapman University. While attending college she rediscovered her two passions, photography and writing. Currently she is working on a family novel based on her family´s perseverance in the early days of the Bracero program. Piña-Aviña is active in her outdoor photography of landscape views, family and friends.

	Al Rollins Al Rollins is a retired Local Government Budget Manager. Al loves to travel the USA with his wife, Janet, and photograph all the wonders of this great country.

	Jefferson Rowland Jefferson began putting pen to paper in his twenties but never thought about legacy, rather he was compelled to ´download´ his feelings. He began to wonder if he could connect through writing, as the 6´ 2" linebacker and wise-ass kid from Queens was the first thing folks encountered, not the poet or personal essayist that lived within. Herein he shares a feeling that washed over him as he rocked on the briny, the late summer sun warming the deck as he pondered the horizon. Amesbury, MA.

	Alexander Russo Alexander Russo is the author of Prescription For Reading Poems.

	Zhaleh Sarduy Zhaleh Sarduy braves the suburbs with 3 devoted dogs, 3 indifferent cats and one loving husband who threatens to leave her if she brings another animal into the house. He has yet to confirm if this includes his family. She loves reading, international travel, and shopping. On a daily basis Zhaleh´s husband inspires her to look forward to the future, her dogs remind her to live for today and the cats refuse to let her take herself too seriously.

	Julie L Scharf Julie L. Scharf is a lover and writer of creative nonfiction, and has published over several short stories, essays, and poems. She is the author of short CNF pieces titled The Train of Bobby´s Life, Remnants, and The Interview. Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, she now resides in Colorado.

	Maury Schulman Maury Schulman is passionate about nature photography and is outside with his camera whenever he isn´t teaching 7th grade science. A housefire displaced him from Fairbanks, Alaska and he landed in Tucson, Arizona (from one extreme to another). He lives with his wife Sherry, but has unleashed his children on the rest of the world in Alaska, Hawaii, and Oregon.

	Donna Sciandra Donna has always been adventurous and loved to travel. She spent 2 years in Jamaica (as a teacher trainer in Kingston) and 5 years in the Solomon Islands on Guadalcanal (as a Community Developer in a rain forest living in a leaf house) with the Peace Corps. Donna is now a retired elementary school teacher who is enjoying her “free” time traveling and photographing North America.

	Elizabeth Shea Lisa relishes the challenge of conveying meaning and memorable characters in a limited amount of time and space. She is drawn to the ocean and has spent many quiet evenings watching the sun set over docks and fishing boats. Her stories, poems, and images are often full of natural beauty and peaceful serenity. 	Beate Sigriddaughter Beate Sigriddaughter grew up in post-WWII Germany and moved to the United States in her teens. Three times a Pushcart Prize nominee, she has published prose and poetry in many literary magazines and ezines. Her most recent book, Snow White (2008) is a novella-length retelling of Grimm’s fairytale narrated by its many characters. Beate is also the founder of the Glass Woman Prize that honors passionate women’s voices (details at www.sigriddaughter.com).

	Jessica F. Smith Jessica Smith is a born traveler, and has spent the last several years exploring life in various countries throughout three continents. Every experience- be it fun, exciting, strange or somber- inspires her to continue writing. Currently the BellaOnline Poetry Editor, she adores poetry of all forms, with a particular fondness for e. e. cummings. 	Angelika Teuber Angelika is an internationally published poet who followed her dream of writing after she had moved to the United States from Germany. She loves poetry deeply and found like-minded people in the Triangle area (NC) with whom she cultivates the art. Angelika founded the non-profit group Living Poetry organizing local readings, workshops, book club, prompts, flyers, and group events (www.livingpoetry.net). She is also a member of the North Carolina Poetry Society.

	Leslie Tribolet Leslie Tribolet lives on Kauai with her husband and animals. She studied at Santa Barbara Art Institute back in the 70’s concentrating on pencil portraits. She was introduced to the Genesis Heat Set Paints in 2007 and loved them because they are dried with heat, which speeds up the process of portrait painting. She has always been drawn to faces, so she decided to try her hand at painting them with Genesis with some good results. She hopes you enjoy what she does whether faces or fruit.

	Phibby Venable Phibby Venable´s work has been published in 2River, Poetrybay, Southern Ocean Review, Sow´s Ear, Voices, the Appalachian Journal and various other national & international magazines. Venable has published three chapbooks & four collections of poetry. A book of poetry, The Wind Is My Wine, is due out in September, from Key Publications. Women of the Round Table, a first novel, by All Things That Matter Press, will also be published this year.

	Leon A. Walker Leon A. Walker is a published writer of various forms of creative literature as well as social and political commentaries. His first collection of poetry and short stories entitled “Work Wonders” was published in September 2009. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he currently resides in Northwest Florida. 	Ann Waller Making her first ocean voyage at the age of five, Ann is an inveterate traveler. Her wanderlust has taken her to various parts of the U.S., Canada, both coasts of Mexico, the islands of the Caribbean, England, France, Portugal, The Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Monaco, Croatia, Montenegro, China, Hong Kong, and Ukraine. She has a particular fondness for Italy and has returned at least a dozen times to explore the country from the tip of the Alps to the southern shores of Sicily.

	L.M. Wilkins Linda Wilkins’ main interests are writing, drawing, photography, flower gardening, and doll collecting. A published author, several of her pieces appeared in Child Advocacy publications during the 80´s while she was Co-founder & Pres. of Respect Our Kids. Becoming disabled in 1991, she now works from home, continuing her activities, although on a much smaller basis. Linda enjoys the time she has with her husband, Ron, three cats, and two dogs, who are now frequent subjects of her myriad talents.

	Barbara Ledford Wright Barbara Ledford Wright, an associate editor and contributor to Moonshine and Blind Mules anthology, was published in eleven Old Mountain Press anthologies, and the latest "Just Between us". Others include Muscadine Lines: A Southern Journal, Express Yourself, Fireflies and June Bugs, Yesterdays Ma gazette, Christmas Presence, Clothes Lines and Fresh! Literary Magazine. She holds a teaching degree and has continued with post graduate writing studies. She resides in the foothills of NC.

	Juli Wymer Juli has been writing poetry most of her life. It took turning 40 and one of her girlfriends to help her decide to share what she´s written with the world. "Personal life experiences have been the best fodder for my writing," she says. Juli is the single mother of a teenage boy, an Air Force and Desert Storm veteran, and the witness to many births and deaths. She takes life as it comes and has learned to take nothing for granted. Most of her poetry can be found on the ratty notepad in her purse.

Kathleen Brand Kathleen lives near Denver, Colorado with two, beautiful German Shepherd dogs. A musician since childhood, she also writes, makes jewelry, and collects art. She is currently organizing material for a book about an illustrator, and preparing the work of another author for publication.

Tom Cullen Tom Cullen is a poet who lives and works in Madison Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets. He has bachelors from Cardinal Stritch University and A Masters Degree from University of Wisconsin -Milwaukee. He publishes haiku regularly at http://no2pelicancircle.blogspot.com. Tom also has a poem entitled "Ivy" appearing in the Wisconsin Poets´ Calendar 2011.

Connie Mistler Davidson Connie Mistler Davidson thanks Mused for this honor. She started writing poetry in grade school. Throughout her high school and college years, she was known as a poet. This continued as she worked in an office job that provided time for writing. As an innovative teacher of middle/high school students who have emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges, Connie uses much of her artistic capital in the classroom. She strives to bring joy to math, science, and social skills concepts.

Sue Ellis Sue Ellis is a retired postmaster who lives and writes near Spokane, Washingon. Her short stories, poems and essays have appeared in such places as Christian Science Monitor, The Shine Journal, Flash Me Magazine, Ken*Again, Wild Violet and The Dead Mule School of Southern Literature. She knits socks, too, with more limited appearances.

Zdravka Evtimova Zdravka Evtimova works a translator of English, French, and German. Zdravka lives with her husband and three children in Pernik, Bulgaria.

Freda Freda is a 66 year old great grandmother of 4, grandmother of 13, mother of 6 and her partner is her soulmate that she met late in life ... so never give up. She writes prose, freewrite, and some poetry. She owns an old house (actually 3) in the downtown area of her hometown - sort of an urban renewal project. She paints, creates, dedicates, lives life to the fullest. She is almost completely blind. She is a retired nurse, and still takes college courses at home.

Gene James Gilbert Gene James Gilbert began his adventure in 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, being born and raised in the shadows of the Ravenswood ´L´ train tracks. Having lived in California and Israel, he now resides and writes in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Ann McDermott Ann McDermott loves where she lives, the Sonoran Desert. That is her inspiration for the fables she writes and shares. She believes strongly that myth and fable have the power to heal the human psyche and connect people to the environment at levels beyond the conscious mind. That connection is what saves us and our world.

Banks Miller Banks is currently attempting to make time for writing poetry and short stories without compromising college, and hopes to actually finish a novel someday. A. Pohja Andriana Pohja is a bit of an eccentric who works forensics and has an inherent passion for the creative arts. Her admiration for the beauty of natural and man-made surroundings, along with personal experiences and just a touch of morbid darkness, are her inspirations for her photos, art, jewelry, poems, and stories.

Constance E. Sibrava Constance Sibrava is the mother of three grown children and the grandmother of seven. Connie has always loved to write and has many, many stories of her life growing up in Northern California in the 60s and 70s.
