Two Londons
Craig W.Steele
Petaled whitecaps crest, then dip toward
a beach of close-cropped grass, each
blade with perfect manicure, while
waves of red, yellow, pink roses surge
in wind-tossed swells within
Queen Mary’s Gardens, Regent’s Park.
Mists of fragrant spray decant their
perfumed clouds of attar essences—
draughts replaced in London’s East End by
dandelion breezes.
