The twisting of the pier,
demon-vexer,
like the torment of my heart.
The fish break the pond´s surface
and my soul´s calm is ruptured
yet again.
I search for the serenity
yet it eludes me.
I gaze at the murky ripples
longing to delve deeper,
to see what stirs the mud
so that I might quiet the pain.
Yet, still,
it eludes me.
