The Angels Are Now With Her
Tarinda Smithson
I just sit and watch her sleep
and know her time is near
I wonder if her life was good
and wipe away a tear
Her tiny hands so fragile
Her skin looks almost gray
To me she’s still beautiful
and I wipe more tears away
Her memory has left her
She doesn´t know my name
But somehow I think she knows
I love her just the same
I lean to kiss her forehead
I know this is goodbye
The warmth has left her body
again I start to cry
The angels are now with her
And even though I’m sad
She’s now resting peacefully
and gone to be with dad
