Allergic to Sun
Daginne Aignend
Summertime, praised
in so many songs and poems
Cheerful, relaxed people
gathering together outside,
laughter and storytelling
An abundant July sun
is indulging all her worshippers
The time for kittenish amorousness
Behind closed curtains
I´m listening to all the merriment
Oh, how I sincerely wish
it would be autumn soon
The highly admired fireball
is my greatest enemy
Forced to stay inside
Swollen like a cooked lobster
respiration problems,
the price I have to pay
for some healthy ultraviolet rays
is way too high
At least, I shine on a rainy day
