Crystals sparkle
on my window,
designs created overnight;
dogwood berries
encased in ice.
A sea of fog rising
above snow-capped mountains,
pink, purple, and peach
watercolors splashing the sky.
Cardinals lift shape notes
on the power lines:
ropes of snow
swaying in the wind.
Sunshine spills
over the cup,
fills the saucer;
almost heaven.
